-No cheesy hair from "Future-Drama"
-No dead-end treatment/abuse from the octuplets while working at the Kwik=E-Mart.
-No dating shallow girls like Jenda.
-No kid voice

It's about time someone else aged-up Bart with a decent, normal future, rather than the dismal, Homer-centric one the show-writers gave him. :D

I would've gone with a slightly stylized hairdo, though. He only kept his old one because that's how Marge cuts it, and he didn't want to upset her. ;)

Bart won't have a "decent, normal future", nor does he deserve one, in my opinion. If Bart Simpson were a real person, he'd either be in the criminal justice system or in a casket by now. He is an evil monster to me, a person who has absolutely no respect for authority figures, who enjoys making people mad, and can effortlessly bring out the worst in anyone around him. He's been strangled by Homer AND Lisa, spanked by the former President Bush, slapped in the face by Miss Krabappel, and even strangled by Dr. Zander (who previously denounced Homer for strangling Bart, but quickly changed his tune when he saw firsthand how evil Bart is).

Really? Think of all the things that he has done for Krusty. and despite the given occasions, Bart has done a lot more for Lisa and especially Milhouse than they have ever done for him. Bart even took the rap when Lisa went bad. Bart has one thing that separates him from most monsters - a conscious. For real monsters, see Dolph, Jimbo, Kearney, and JESSICA (as well as the obvious, Burns and Sideshow Bob).

Go back to the original seasons, not whatever Fox has concocted, just to get to their 20th anniversary and 500th episode milestones.

Thank you for refreshing my memory. That episode when Bart took the rap for Lisa and got 600 detentions for it was a pretty unique episode. I sincerely apologize for calling Bart Simpson evil.

I'm glad you agree, but Bart is identified MAINLY by his character design haircut (that and the formal side-to-side comb version (his church look))
